Hello trusty adventurers!!!

Thank you so much for supporting The Molt and allowing me to create all this weirdness! It is humbling to know that 216 of you will bring this to your gaming table!!! 

The next couple of weeks are going to be hectic. I have my son's birthday next week, Thanksgiving the week after that, and then the following week I head up to Philly for PAX Unplugged. 

During that time, I will continue to work on the writing and layout of the book.

In the next update, I will include a graphic breaking down the progress of each of the elements of this campaign.  

I will probably wait until after the holidays to get Backerkit's pledge manager up and running, but I'll have the pre-order store available if you hear of anyone looking to make a late pledge.

Hello Adventurers and Happy Halloween!

What's been going on

I know it seems a bit quiet around this Kickstarter project and I wanted to explain why. While I was at Gamehole Con I found out my mom went into the hospital. The last day of the show things got worse and she moved to the ICU. This project was scheduled to launch the day after I got back. So that morning I woke up, pushed it live, and then drove over an hour to the hospital where I stayed the rest of the week until she passed away last Friday. 

Normally when a campaign launches, I do a bit more pushing on social media and hustle to get the buzz going. Last week threw all of that off... and the paid advertising didn't have the return that it usually does.

I am thrilled you are here and that we've funded! I'm hopeful we can get some more stretch goals unlocked.

Now that you know why I've been quiet, let me share why I am excited about The Molt!

I thought by now I would have the mock-up for the cassette adventure ready. Since I don't let me share one we did for Vast Grimm. 

The Molten Monolith cassette will probably be red. The liner notes will have a map on one side, with the adventure on the other. I've found a way to pack a whole-lotta punch of an adventure into such a small space. And Glitter in the Dark's soundtrack is fantastic!!! It will be Bad A$$! And for those of you who don't have a boom box or a walkman, there will be digital files.

Playing in The Molt

One of the best things about this setting is that you can play as one of the new species/classes from deep inside the center of the planet, or as someone from Mörk Borg exploring the depths below the planet's surface. THIS IS SO VERSITILE! It has a wide range of possibilities for campaigns or one-shots.

The lore in the book is interwoven into that of Mörk Borg and Vast Grimm, with easter eggs to both. It also has a fair number of nods back to my previous fantasy setting Revilo. With all of that, it still stands on its own and does not need the other materials for gameplay.

Add-ons

I've just included an add-ons graphic on the page. I'm very excited about the Alchemy Enhanced. If you haven't checked out what they are doing with immersive online gameplay, you should! 

I also just added my Mörk Borg adventure Crawling Death as an add-on as well. It has been out of stock, and just arrived at the warehouse this week!

Thank you so much for helping to fund The Molt!!!

I am very excited to bring this weirdness to Mörk Borg and have lots of easter eggs to Vast Grimm as well.

I have a bunch of stretch goals planned out if we can get some more momentum behind this project. As you can, you've unlocked the character generator and next up will be MOOOOORE MONSTERS!

In a future update, I will dig deeper into the Kör of the planet and its lore.
